About me

I am a lead data scientist currently working to help release children from poverty in 29 developing countries. I develop AI/LLM workflows that solve qualititative analysis, child protection, and translation issues, craft optimization models that guide strategy, and build classifiers to help manage operations. Some of my work includes analytics for quasi-experimental methods, helping the organization understand what's working and why. I also built an industry-first recommender to optimize interventions across 10,000+ program centers. I enjoy bringing clarity, insight, and understanding to seemingly intractible problems.

Previously, I spent a decade and a half working at a Department of Energy National Laboratory. I co-authored a book chapter on data science applications to national security, and another on ML applications in cyber security. I built the original risk model and optimization algorithm that helps secure airports and other major transportation systems across the US, and my pandemic modeling work aided the CDC responses to both Covid and Ebola.
